I was surprised when we were in the middle of a long conversation and he asked, “So tell me about your day!”
It didn’t sound like an invitation to start talking, so I tried to get him to explain what he meant.
“I’m curious about your day,” he said. “I’m just curious. You’ve been talking for like fifteen minutes and I haven’t heard a word about your day. I’m curious what you did today.”
There were a few things I could point out about my day — we had an internship interview, we attended a conference, we worked on this project — but I decided it wasn’t worth it to explain them to him.
