The Bloody Crow of Cainhurst is a character in Bloodborne. She is encountered as a boss during the fight against her and two of her sisters, The Twins of Cainhurst. In the lore, she was born to her mother in Cainhurst Castle, the land's lord and ruler. Her father, Lord Byrgenwerth, was a scientist who had researched the creation of a new breed of hunter known as "Hunters of Hunters" (or "Howlers" for short). In order to create a new breed of hunter, Byrgenwerth took his own wife as a sacrifice, cutting out her heart and eating it. This gave him the new blood needed to create the Howlers, but also changed his wife into the Bloody Crow.
