We see this in the Disney movie Aladdin, where the genie is represented by an elegant, blue, disembodied head with a lamp-shaped body. He has a genie’s hat, a lamp under his feet, and a small staff. Given that he is a genie who works for Aladdin’s father, Jafar, it is apparent that he is not the kind of genie who will grant wishes but who will instead be manipulated and controlled by Aladdin.
The second type of genie is represented by the other witch in the movie. The witch stands at the foot of the bed, and her eyes are turned upward in a perpetual stare. Though she wears a hat and not a lamp as the genie does, she also has a staff, which she uses to point to the ceiling.
