Peters' family owns the business, which produces concrete products. Peters' uncle, Peter Peters, owns the business, along with his wife and their children. The business employs about 25 in the Peters family.
The Peters' company is in South Padre Island, where all five families in the family were trapped by floodwaters in their homes.
Peters said she used to help her family when they needed help with their concrete products, which are used for residential construction.
