Matthew Crawley personality type is INFP, the “Analemma”, which is an incredibly rare personality type.
And in the second season, when he’s in the middle of his recovery in France, he gets into a car accident, and ends up with a head injury which leads to hearing problems.
The problem is that producers have turned his hearing problems into a joke.
In the first season, the famous quote was “I’m deaf, but I hear everything.”
In season two, when he gets the hearing aid, he says, “I can hear everything, but it sounds like it’s in Spanish.”
I don’t think this was supposed to be funny. But it was. It was very funny.
So that’s the major problem with this series. It has ruined two wonderful characters because producers thought it would be funny or cute. It is not funny or cute.
And I just feel bad for everyone who has heard about this after watching the show.
