Vetrix (Byron Arclight) personality type is ENTP, and this may have been the case in the past. I'm just not sure who the bad guy is.
His other personality trait is that he's a big believer in the theory that the 12-stranded DNA helix is a genetic anomaly, and that all life on Earth evolved from a single-celled creature. He'd never accept the fact that the Helix was a naturally occurring phenomenon, and he's convinced that a better explanation for it would be a genetic engineering accident.
Byron's main interest at the moment is a gene therapy treatment called the "viral genome reprogramming therapy," which he thinks will help people with physical and mental disabilities. He'd been developing it for years, but was frustrated that no one has been able to prove that it works. He finally found his proof when he discovered a fellow scientist who'd been working on a similar treatment for autistic children.
Byron tested the therapy on himself and, while his physical condition didn't improve, his mental abilities greatly increased. He was able to complete a year of college in a matter of months instead of the normal three years, and he could learn anything in a fraction of the time it normally took him.
