Chris personality type is ISTJ, but in my opinion he is not an introvert. He is simply not one of the more social types. He is not particularly gregarious, but he has no problems making friends.
When I first met him in university, he was extremely quiet. He was usually the only one in his group of friends who seemed to be having fun, but when he did talk, it would be when people asked him a question or when he was trying to get them to listen to him. He is not a people person; he likes to be alone with his thoughts.
At the same time, he is not antisocial. He makes friends easily, but he does not approach people out of convenience. He genuinely wants to be friends with them.
I understand that this might sound like a contradiction, but it’s not uncommon for people like him to fall in love with someone. I know that the average person is not at all interested in having conversations with them, but they are still interested in them.
When my boyfriend is in the house by himself, he is happy. He enjoys it when he is alone, and he loves it when I come over to see him.
