Regice first appeared in A Better Pill to Swallow, under the ownership of Alexa. It was first seen battling with Alexa's own Registeel.
In The Bonds of Evolution!, it appeared at the Sootopolis Gym where it battled against Ash's Pikachu. Despite being struck by Pikachu's Thunderbolt, it was able to defeat Ash's Pikachu with a powerful Ice Beam. In the next episode, Regice was used by Alexa to battle against Ash's Pikachu once more, but was defeated by the same Thunderbolt attack.
In Evolution Exchange Excitement!, a Team Rocket Grunt was seen with a Regice that he received from a woman named Ima, who was presumably a member of Team Aqua or Team Magma.
