I think the problem is that most people have the ESTJ personality, which is the master of the house, who is always trying to get the other two to do things their way. As for ISTJs and INTJs, I think it's because ISTJs are more like INTJs than INTJs are like ISTJs. ISTJs are more likely to be more reserved and quiet than INTJs, but the INTJ will do whatever it takes to win over their partner. However, I think it's still true that INTJs aren't naturally like ISTJs and ISTJs aren't naturally like INTJs.
