The book is very religious, and there are several references to God, like when the protagonist talks about God creating the universe, and he mentions that he is talking to God, and that God is talking back to him. There are also several references to prayer. There are several references to the Bible, also. I’m not sure if this is intentional or not, but it’s interesting.
The relationship between Gwyn and her dad is definitely one of the most interesting aspects of the book. Her dad is not very religious, and he doesn’t really believe in God, but he does believe in Gwyn, so he doesn’t support her decision to become a nurse.
The romance in the book is pretty hot. I think that’s fairly obvious from my review. I liked that the romance was fairly quick, which I didn’t expect at all.
