Derek personality type is ENFP, which is one of the most common personality types in the world. The other is ENTP, which is slightly less common.
So I wanted to see if there was any significant difference between the two types. I found a paper that compared the two, and it ended up being statistically significant, although the difference was small.
To solve this, I created an experiment to test the hypothesis of whether there was a significant difference between the ENFP and ENTP personality types.
The result is below:
The results show that the ENFPs have a significantly higher average IQ than the ENTPs. The difference appears to be small, but it's there. In fact, both average IQ and self-reported IQ were similar between the two types, which I think shows that they're pretty close in general.
The most interesting part of this result is that it gets at something that seems to be true in real life as well. I've met a fair number of ENFPs at various points in my life, and they're usually smart people. I don't know if this is a function of personality type or if it's just a function of people who are intelligent being drawn to each other.
