All of this explains why I decided to pursue my master’s degree. I’d been out of school for 11 years, and I was itching for a change. I wanted to create new things and learn new things. I’d enjoyed my time at university, but wasn’t particularly happy in the classroom. The only way to achieve that level of happiness was to teach, and that’s exactly what I did.
Now, I’m still very similar to the person I was at university, but I am much happier because of it. When I teach, I am able to give my students a voice and allow them to voice their thoughts and opinions. I am able to learn from them, and they from me. I am able to give my students the kind of attention and care that they need, which is the ultimate form of teaching.
Similarly, my personality type has allowed me to find meaning in my life and to create a career that fulfills me.
