I think this is an interesting point of view, but I don't think it's accurate. The ISFJ type doesn't mean that one is "just" an introverted, sensitive, and conscientious person. It means that the type is based on Jung's cognitive model of personality. The distinction between the "Cyril Figgis" type and the "ISFJ" type is the same as the difference between an INTP and an INTP type.
Jung's cognitive functions are dominant in most people, but not in all people. People can be dominant in one or more cognitive functions, but not in all functions. For instance, I am dominant in my Extroverted Sensing function, but my Intuition function is recessive. The terms "dominant" and "recessive" are just simple labels for the different cognitive functions.
