Harold Smith personality type is INFP, and should be treated accordingly. However, he's not a particularly good fit for ENFP or INFJ, since he's less able to show genuine warmth and understanding. George Bailey is the quintessential INFP: creative, thoughtful, and idealistic. He's acutely aware of the flaws in his own personality (he's hyper-critical, prone to depression, and feels he isn't really living up to his potential), and is often critical of his friends and family. He has no patience for games, and can seem trusting at first, but is actually very careful about whom he allows into his life.
