Shihoru personality type is INFP, so she is more likely to be emotional and sympathetic. She is prone to outbursts, but these are generally triggered by anger or other strong emotions. She is extremely loyal to those she cares about and will go to great lengths to protect them. Many of the negative points in this personality type are common to characters in the anime and manga, so it's difficult to say whether it is a failure on the author's part or rather a reflection of the personality type. It still is, however, a major failing from a plot and character perspective.
It's been a very long time since I've written about anime personality types, so I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things with this one. I'll keep this brief, since it's a bit of a complex subject. Today's anime is Natsume Yuujinchou. I've heard it described as "anime in the vein of Haruhi Suzumiya". This is a really good description of how I think of the series. It has all the same problems that Haruhi does: unreliable narrator, extreme plot contrivances, and extremely lacking characterization.
