George Washington personality type is ISTJ, which makes sense, since he was a very practical, orderly man. He clearly knew what he wanted and managed to get it, despite not always being sure how to go about doing so.
However, I have a feeling there's a lot more to the story. The ISTJ personality type is also known for being a bit rigid and inflexible, I've seen it in my own husband. So maybe Washington was a bit of a control freak, and didn't feel comfortable being in charge of someone else.
