Tape Face is a type of technical technical support person, who is often seen in animated films such as Pixar's Toy Story series. The character was originally created in the 1980s by Robert L. Ginestro in his book The Self-Publishing Manual, in which he defines Tape Face as "a person who talks in a high-pitched voice and wears earphones and a headset in order to appear to be in touch with his or her customers, while actually being oblivious to them."[1]
