They enjoy doing things in ways that seem like they’re trying to hurt people, but they’re actually doing it in the most beneficial way for everyone involved.
INTPs don’t actually consider themselves evil or even particularly malicious, but others may not see it that way. They will sometimes use their abilities to manipulate others to do things they don’t want to do, but that is because they genuinely want to help them. They will then use their manipulation somehow to benefit themselves in the end.
There is a huge difference between manipulating and using one’s abilities to benefit another and using them to benefit oneself at the cost of others. INTPs like to think of themselves as relatively benevolent, but they can be manipulative in ways that others may see as cruel or even evil.
