    In 1950, Elaine Dickinson married her first husband, Michael Dickinson. The two met at a dance and were married for five years before divorcing. Elaine Dickinson then married a man named Frank G. Whittington III, who had been her boss at the USC library. The couple had one child together before divorcing in 1960.
