Who Is Asuka Kasen?
Kasen Asuka is a Japanese animator who has worked on a number of shows. She is best known for her work on the popular anime series Rurouni Kenshin as one of its main animators, as well as for her work as character designer and animation director on the original anime series. She has also been involved in production of several other anime series as a director, producer, and writer.
Asuka Kasen Personal Life
Kasen Asuka was born on December 15, 1970, in Saitama Prefecture. She attended a high school in Tokyo and graduated from a college affiliated with the Japan Animation Creators Association. Kasen Asuka began her career as a freelance animator. She has worked on a number of animated series, including Rurouni Kenshin, which is still running today.
In 2006 she was awarded an Excellence Award at the 2006 Annecy International Animation Film Festival for her work on the original anime series. The following year, she became a director at Production I.G., where she has been ever since.
Asuka Kasen is the co-leader of the Yakuza, alongside her brother Kenji. She has a condo in Newport on Staunton Island. She helps Claude and Maria Latore escape from Portland Island. She later employs Claude to do various jobs, including killing Salvatore Leone and Tanner. She introduces Claude to her brother, and corrupt LCPD officer and Yakuza informant, Ray Machowski. After the near death of her brother she has Claude, who had killed him in a Cartel Cruiser, attack the Cartel, gaining information from Miguel, who she tortures. Catalina later kills Asuka and Miguel.
