The four functions are:
1. The dominant Intuiting function, which is the person’s dominant attitude toward the world, his or her primary mode of interacting with life, and the most developed function of the personality. It is often called the ‘inductive function’ because it makes decisions based on what it senses and intuits. The Intuiting function is represented by number one on the Enneagram circle. In a typical Enneagram personality test, this function will be activated when the person is asked to make decisions or to select options or choices for whatever reason.
2. The auxiliary or secondary Intuiting function. This is a less developed or less developed version of the dominant Intuiting function, and is represented by number two on the Enneagram circle.
