Orchid personality type is INFJ, which many people erroneously think makes you a poet. But it doesn't. In fact, it takes a lot of hard work to get INFJs to write poetry for a living. If they aren't in the arts, the only way they ever get to do poetry is if they're writing a novel (that's why they're in the arts).
In many ways, INFJs are more like writers & artists than poets. They spend a lot of time actively imagining what their characters are doing, trying to see the world from their point of view, and trying to figure out how to make their characters talk back to them.
INFJs have the hardest time understanding the motivations of characters who don't have INFJ-like motives, or don't seem to be reacting to things the way that INFJs would. It's like an INFJ character is saying "I don't want to do this, but I want you to think I'm doing this." It can be hard for an INFJ to figure out where their story is going, especially if their characters' motivations don't make sense or are contradictory.
