Ira personality type is ISTJ, and this is also where I’d place myself. (As in, I’m not sure.) When I was in college and I was still mostly in college, I worked at a bookstore that was part of a chain of stores. I started out as an intern, then moved into a part-time job, and eventually became the manager of the corporate credit card.
I was generally pretty happy with my work there, but the store was owned by a very wealthy family of Mormons, and their policy was to be completely unhelpful to all employees except the owner’s family. This meant that all employees were treated with utter disdain—the manager treated with outright contempt—and that some employees were treated with utter contempt.
I had sort of been looking for this kind of job in my undergraduate years, but I didn’t want to work for someone else’s family. I wanted to work for myself. I was also looking for a job where I could get paid a lot of money with very little work. This job fit the bill.
