Fritz Reiser personality type is ISTJ, or Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. ISTJ’s are often seen as the more staid, conservative of the four types of people. They are practical, realistic, and reliable. They are good at organizing and prioritizing, and are more of the “doers” of the world, rather than the “feelers.” I am of that type, and I would love to say that I am the most laid-back, relaxed person on the planet (well, probably not on the planet. But at least I don’t make people nervous with my random bursts of high-energy).

    But I would be lying.

When I was first diagnosed with depression, my first inclination was to do something. Anything. Anything to fix it. So I started actively looking for things I could do to help myself. I joined a gym, and started running. I made plans to go to the beach on vacation, even though it would be in two weeks, because I was determined to get my mind off how unhappy I was. I even tried to start drinking less coffee.

I didn’t want to be depressed. I wanted to be happy.

Fritz Reiser was a German long-distance runner. He competed in the men's marathon at the 1908 Summer Olympics.
