Both Star Wars and Card's Ender's Game deals with the subject of immortality through cloning, artificial intelligence, etc. The first time I noticed this connection was in Ender's Game during Ender's graduation ceremony. Ender's father was killed by one of his "brothers", who then became the commander of the army that was sent to wipe out the other kinder.
