“I lived through the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, and I had a rough childhood with a single parent,” he says. “My mother was a housewife and a hard-working mother. She worked from morning until night to support her family. She didn’t have a lot of material things, but she always had time for us. She always made us feel important.”
Wilbur Robinson is the second child in a family of five children with two sisters and two brothers. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where his father worked as a foreman for a railroad. His father left the family when he was just a baby, and his mother raised him and his siblings alone.
