Her main interests were in the home and family, and she was extremely concerned about their safety and welfare.

At the end of the day, the only thing that ever really changed for her were her hairstyles. She was perfectly happy to stay in the same place for decades, and wouldn't move simply because there was something new to see. She was happy to see things grow and change around her, but she didn't like the idea of moving away from familiar surroundings.
The only time she did wish to move was when she went to America, and was inspired by the beauty of the country. She did like to travel, and did make a couple of trips to France and Japan later on in life, even though she didn't enjoy them nearly as much as she'd expected.
