Allister personality type is INFP, so I can see why his writing is so personal and so emotive. The way he writes about the people he loves is so honest and so true, it makes you feel like you are walking in his shoes (or at least his boots). He lets you see into his life and into his heart, and that is the purest form of writing that I know.
I love how he wrote about the people he loves. How he speaks about his friends, how he speaks about his family, and how he speaks about himself. He doesn’t speak about himself as if he is anything special, nor does he make it seem like he’s the only one who cares about these people. The way he writes about them gives you an idea of what they are like, without all the drama, without all the inner turmoil. He wrote about them as if they were people he knew well, and it was so easy for me to imagine him being a part of their lives.
I love how he wrote about his friends, especially after he had a falling out with them. He seemed to have a very good relationship with most of them, but after some bad breakups, his writing became a little more personal.
