What is the personality type of Gail? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Gail from Trainspotting 1996 and what is the personality traits.
Gail personality type is INFP, the designation that I use in my book.
In his book, Myers describes the INFP as “the most complex and intellectually gifted type.” He also says that “the preference for Introversion/Intuition over Extraversion/Feeling is one of the most striking differences between the INFP and other personality types.”
I agree with Myers’ description, but I don’t see this as a “striking difference.” There are many other types with a preference for Introversion over Extraversion and so on, and while they are not as capable as the INFP, they can be just as interesting and capable as their INFP counterparts.
Myers describes the INFP as “born to create new possibilities,” and he describes them as “ideally” being “creative, imaginative, and idealistic.” This matches my own personal experience with the INFP. The INFP is often seen as a dreamer and a visionary, someone who sees possibilities where others see only the limitations in their world.
