About 10 years ago, Yukisada was living in the U.S. and had studied there for three years. He was in his mid-20s, and had fallen in love with America. He saw that Japan was not really open to new things. He was inspired by his time in the U.S.
He came back with the idea of creating an anime that would appeal to young people. He wanted to create something that would be like Pokemon, but for young people. So he created the anime called "Aquarion."
"Aquarion" is about a boy who saves the universe by summoning the Aquarion with the help of two girls, who are named Medic and Mecha. It has a very futuristic setting, with an airship and robots.
