The two parents also had their own labs in the same lab building. Toko was a research scientist and Masato was a lecturer in the same field. They both held the same interest in science, and they were both very diligent in their work.
Masami's mother and father both died in a car accident in 2006. They had been on the way to work when their car was hit by another vehicle.
