Verl personality type is INFP, so I am very contemplative and empathetic. I really enjoy exploring different ideas, and my work is heavily inspired by the world of psychology.
Q: What inspired you to create the artwork for the book?
I’m a big believer in the power of art. That’s why I’m a writer. Art can change your perspective, it can make you feel something, it can help you express feelings that are hard to put into words.
I used to love reading psychology books, but they were always too dense for me to understand fully. That’s why I designed the book to be art, with lots of different images, photos, and illustrations. I think the book is really beautiful, it’s very easy to read and understand, and there are lots of different ways to look at the same topic.
Q: Tell us about the process of creating the artwork for the book.
My process was pretty simple.
Verl is a town in the district of Gütersloh in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located approximately 15 km south of Bielefeld and 10 km east of Gütersloh. In the 19th century two citizens of Verl, Johannes Otto and Ferdinand Bredeik, founded two towns in Ohio, USA: Delphos and Ottoville. Since the 1990s Verl has been an official sister city of both towns.
