Those of you who have read the Wikipedia article about personality types will know that personality type is a statistical phenomenon. In other words, there's no actual "personality". There's only the way people act. The character of a person simply cannot be explained by his or her personality type.
So what is personality type?
Firstly, it's not really a theory. It's not based on any real science. It's based on the fact that certain people act in certain ways. If this were true, then all people would act in the same way. However, this is not the case. People act different in different situations, which means that different people act differently in different situations.
Also, I'm not saying that "personality type" is not important.
