I’m not sure you can call this a conspiracy. I think some are just more aware of the fact that there are two Shaco flavors, some are just more interested in the idea of a “Shaco”, and some are just plain sick of seeing the same thing over and over. I think the former is the most important.
The rogue/assassin/thief flavor of Shaco is very clearly identifiable, even if it’s only by the absence of the giant head piece. I think most people who play him know that he doesn’t look like that anymore. Blasting people with my rifle doesn’t look like my old Shaco at all, even if I do still fire it like he did.
