Shellington personality type is INFJ, and they are the most emotionally intelligent and emotionally intuitive of all the Myers-Briggs personalities. They are also known as “the counselors” because of their desire to help others and their willingness to help people on their path to self-actualization. “Counselors” possess the rare ability to understand others and the ability to communicate how they can be understood, even when people are speaking in code.
I have known many “Shellington types,” and have observed them to have a special gift in helping those who come to them for advice or support. The Shellington personality type is not defined by their need to be heard, but by their desire to guide others on their own path to self-actualization.
“Shellington” is a nickname for “Counselor”, and it is affectionately used by INFJs to describe themselves as well.
