7 personality type is ENTP, while the other is ISTJ, so while it's not a guarantee, it does add a good deal of plausibility to the theory.
As for the claim that children become more dominant as they get older, I don't have a good answer for that. I have a feeling that the idea of a child being more dominant is a misperception, but I could be wrong. But anyways, if you'd like to know more about the Jungian theory of personality types, Brauer has a few excellent books on the subject.
As for the claim that some people are constantly trying to hurt others' feelings, I think you might be confusing this with a different kind of phenomenon called "projection". In the latter case, people are accusing their own flaws as being responsible for some other person's behavior. In the former case, people are claiming that they are constantly being hurt by others. This latter phenomenon is very common among people with borderline personality disorder.
