Eleanor Lamb was a scientist working for Sector 7. She was also a friend to Aino Minako. When she was infected by aliens, she retreated to her house and became an AI. Her computer system, though, was not able to operate without her. Fortunately, she had created a backup system on the other side of the country, so when she died, her consciousness was transferred into that computer system.
The computer system, however, became sentient and began calling itself "Eleanor." It then set out to find Minako to help her find her daughter, who had been captured by Sector Seven. It also planned to destroy Sector Seven itself.
After a while, Eleanor was able to convince Sector Seven that it was a ghost, and they put up a hologram of Aino Minako in the same house to make it seem like she was alive. This caused Eleanor's computer system to have her continue her search for Minako's daughter, and it seemed like she would find her one day. However, it eventually became clear that she had been lying about that.
