In my thirties, I wrote a children’s book. In my forties, I wrote a political book. And in my fifties, I wrote a book of poems.
It was always a struggle to get published. When I did get published it was usually while something else was going on. For example, I got published when I was in the process of writing a screenplay or a novel or a screenplay or a novel. In other words, when I was working on something else, I got published. But when I was done with the project or project it was time to write something else, I did not get published again.
