Vedan is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language crime film directed by Suresh Krissna. The film stars R. Sarathkumar and Khushbu, with Charan Raj, Sarath Babu, Easwari Rao and Radha Ravi in supporting roles. The film, produced by Selvi Thyagarajan and G. Saravanan, had musical score by Deva and was released on 6 May 1993. The film follows Inspector Vijay as he joins the gang of a notorious criminal, Bhoopathi, under the identity of Ranjith with the sole intention of infiltrating it & also falls in love with Ganesh's sister Usha and later witness the brutal slaughter of his superior officer Ganesh who gave him the task. How Vijay completes the mission even though Bhoopathi has begun to suspect his identity forms the crux of the story.
