Growing Up
We were born in a small town, and we moved to a city after my sister graduated high school. The city was about an hour away from where my parents were working, but we didn’t live there full time. From the time we were little, we lived in different locations within the city. As we got older, my parents would alternate putting us in different locations, so we never really had a permanent home to go to. We weren’t always safe.
When I was around four, my parents started showing signs of anxiety and depression, and they both began abusing alcohol and drugs. I never saw them drink or smoke around me, but I can remember them getting high in their room, and then I would hear them arguing.
