From what I can tell, Crichton is a prime example of the Introverted Intuitive. He’s also a prime example of the Exceptionalist.
Crichton is smart enough to be an INTP, but he’s not quite as smart as he thinks he is. He’s overly confident.
Don’t let his cockiness fool you, though. He’s a brilliant writer and excellent storyteller.
He has the ability to dig into the logic and analysis of a story and provide a well-researched, well-crafted story. That’s what we see in Jurassic Park, and we see it in his other books as well.
On the other side of the coin, Crichton has a bit of a problem with managing his own emotions. He’s an ENFP, but he doesn’t know it. He seems to be an ENFP-in-waiting, but he’ll never know it.
