One brother is a member of the Trill delegation that visits DS9 to discuss the Cardassian attack on Bajor, the other brother is the head of security for DS9. The two brothers appear to be very close and are notably more volatile than their DS9 counterparts. When DS9 is threatened by Cardassians and Bajorans, their DS9 counterparts not only insist that the station be defended, but also order the defense of Deep Space 9 against attacking forces. The DS9 brothers are then seen on the bridge of Deep Space 9 to observe the Cardassians and Bajorans attacking the station.
