I met Jenny in January, when she was still a freshman. She is a senior in high school, and is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known in my life. She is smart, caring, and is always taking care of others even if she herself is hurting. She has a very deep and sensitive heart, and is definitely an inspiration to me.
At the beginning of the year, Jenny started to feel very anxious and off balance. She had thoughts of not being able to do anything in school, and her grades were suffering. She was diagnosed with major depression and anxiety disorders, and this caused her to miss school all the time. Her anxiety got so bad that she would start to feel dizzy, faint, and nauseous, sometimes even passing out. Jenny has never been the kind of person that has bad days, but this was different. This was not a normal depressed mood for her, this was something much more serious.
