When I was younger, I had a friend who was an ISTP. He was quiet, shy, and didn’t have any friends. He was very artistic, but he never had the confidence to pursue it. He had a fairly serious girlfriend though. He didn’t have any friends because he felt he lacked the social skills to make friends.
He worked at a computer company, where most people were ISTP. He was quiet because he had trouble communicating with people. He was artistic, but he was too shy to do anything about it. He had a fairly serious girlfriend because he felt he needed someone else to make him happy. He had no friends because he didn’t have any confidence in himself to pursue friendships.
He is very artistic, or at least he was. He still is. He just never had the confidence to pursue it. I think that’s what you are talking about, isn’t it?
I have heard of people being so shy that they never have the confidence to pursue their passions.
