What is your opinion about the character of Clarissa Dalloway?
I have a major problem with her. She's a total hypocrite who's completely selfish and doesn't care about anyone other than herself. She's a very superficial woman, and she's totally self-centered.
She has a strong prejudiced, judgmental attitude towards Lady Carteret. She doesn't have any respect for her, which makes her a hypocrite because she claims to be so sickened by Lady Carteret's behavior, yet on the other hand she develops a close relationship with her. It's a double standard.
