Brown Hyena personality type is ISTP, but I'm not sure how this relates to the feral part of the Hyena's personality that makes users aggressive and dominant.
So, I think one of the reasons that the Hyena type may be so aggressive is because they use their ISTP brain more than the other types.
I think this would explain why so many ISTPs are Hyenas: The more dominant and impulsive you are, the more likely you will be a Hyena.
As for the "intense" part of the Hyena personality type, I think that is because ISTPs use their extraverted thinking more than the other types.
They're not as impulsive or dominant as other types, but they're more focused and analytical than the other types. So it makes sense that they would be more intense, since they use their extraverted thinking more often than other types.
Remember, ISTP is an inverted function, so the INTJ brain would be used for this intense focus instead of the extraverted thinking brain.
For me, this makes perfect sense. I know that I am an intense person, especially when I'm doing something I love or I'm passionate about.
