I have long been fascinated with the Jungian perspective on personality traits. In the past I have read a few different studies that have attempted to compare the Myers-Briggs and the Jungian approach to personality type. In general, I find it to be a useful way to look at personality, but I am not a fan of the Jungian approach to personality types because it seems to me that it is a bit heavy handed in its focus on symbolism and mythological metaphors. On the other hand, I am also not a fan of the Myers-Briggs approach because it seems to me that it is a bit deferential to the type theory that was created by Isabel Myers and Katharine Cook Briggs. In my opinion, both approaches need to be taken with a grain of salt, but I find it most useful to look at them as tools for categorizing human behavior rather than as definitive conclusions about what makes us tick.
The European pine marten, also known as the pine marten or the European marten, is a mustelid native to and widespread in Northern Europe. It is classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. It is less commonly also known as baum marten, or sweet marten.
