Jangle Pop personality type is INFP, and my Enneagram type is INFP (the most common type in the world, by the way).

I believe one of the reasons I’m such a “jangle pop” is because I’m an INFP in a world that often sees me as an ENTP. I’ve been written off and in some cases, considered a “wacky” or “daft” type. You know, the kind that is perceived as “amusing” or “funny” but in reality, is just a bit “off” and weird. It’s not so much that I am so “wacky” or “daft” it’s just that my type is so uncommon in the world that people tend to think “wacky” or “daft” is a type.

I actually think it’s a great thing that people see me as “wacky” or “daft” because it gives me a unique insight into human nature.

Jangle pop is a subgenre of pop rock that emphasizes trebly, ringing guitars and 1960s-style pop melodies. While the Everly Brothers and the Searchers laid the foundations for the style, the Beatles and the Byrds are commonly credited with launching the popularity of the "jangly" sound that defined the genre. Particularly, the Byrds' rendition of Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man", which coined the genre name from the lyric "jingle-jangle morning" accompanied by the sounds of chiming guitars. Even though many subsequent bands drew hugely from the Byrds, they did not fit into the folk rock continuum as the Byrds did.
