I think that the character of Poe Dameron is an INFP at heart, and his personality is really defined by his love of Mary-Ann Ronan. Dameron is actually a pretty great guy while he is working on the Resistance, but I think the personality type of INFP is especially fitting for him. After all, Poe is a deep thinker and he is always trying to get to the bottom of things. The character of Poe Dameron has a lot of layers, and I think Mary-Ann Ronan really helps to bring them out and make sense of all the different aspects of the character.
How does your personality affect your writing?
I’ve always been a very analytical person, and I think I naturally approach writing in the same way. I like to look at movies and books and other fiction and see how people have done things differently, and then try to figure out how I can do it that way myself. While I am definitely inspired by other writers, I am also very much my own person when I write.
