First off, let's define what intuition is. Intuition is essentially the ability to intuit things that are not yet clear to our conscious mind. For example, if I ask you to name the state capital of Massachusetts (a question that requires logic and reason), you will probably think about it for a few seconds, and come up with one of several answers. Now imagine what happens when I ask you the same question, but ask it in a way that makes you think about it in terms of emotions. A few seconds later, you start to intuit my underlying message. You realize that I am actually asking you about your feeling about my question, rather than your reasoning for my question. Intuition is the ability to intuit things that are not yet clear to our conscious mind.
